Who Paisley Are
Paisley is a small congregation with a BIG heart. If you come along to the church you can be rest assured of a very warm welcome. We have people of all ages attending, and we keep them busy!
Paisley Free Church is part of the congregation of Dowanvale. At the moment they video link into our services. They meet together for that on Sunday’s at 11am and 6pm. Dowanvale hope to appoint an assistant minister to help with the work in Paisley.
Paisley are very much part of the Dowanvale congregation and together we work for the sharing of the gospel in our respective communities in Partick & Paisley city centre.

Paisley Free Church, Silk Street, Paisley, PA1 1HG
We have our services on a Sunday at 11 am and 6pm, these are via a LiveLink to Dowanvale. We sing some songs from the Bible, have a time of prayer and listen to a talk about the Bible from our minister Rev Kenny MacLeod. After the service we meet for tea and biscuits, although give us any opportunity and we’ll up it to cake!
On a Wednesday we meet for Prayer and Bible Study, in the church hall at 7.30pm, this is taken by Rev Ronnie Christie.
The Ladies Bible Study meets weekly on a Tuesday night, we are studying the Lord’s prayer, we have asked all ladies, even those who don’t attend to share with us in prayer at 8pm, to pray specifically for the Lord to show us what to do in Paisley.
Men’s bible study meets monthly, and at the moment is studying 1 Timothy.
We have monthly congregational meals in the church hall, very well attended – think it has something to do with the food and fellowship – two things Paisley excells in!
Top Tots is our new Parent & Toddler group which will meet in the church on Wednesday afternoons from 1 – 2.30pm. We welcome anyone, with open arms, to join us for a time of fun play and activity, stories, snack and chatter! Our playgroup is free and there’s no need to pre-register, just turn up on the day. Our first meeting will be on 21st October.
Our Ladies Fellowship also meets monthly, we support Blytheswood at Christmas by filling shoeboxes, we also support Tear Fund “no Child Taken”, ALL the congregation was given a smartie tube, our aim is to raise £12 a month which supports a family by giving them the means to start their own business, we are also having a coffee evening for friends and family to raise funds for our own WFM projects, other nights include DVD, praise and pudding, and a congregational outing at the end of May,
As a congregation we are very involved with the Free Church Youth camps, from the oldest to the youngest, we lead and cook, and pray!!
